Interested in learning more about City Language Immersion Charter? Do you want information about how to enroll a student in the fall of 2024? Come learn about our school and about how to enroll for the upcoming school year at an Open House. Everyone is welcome. No RSVP necessary.

You can RSVP to open house events here, but RSVP’s are not required to attend. 

 

Prospective families can apply at any time during open enrollment. Open houses will provide additional information and support to apply. Paper applications will also be available.

Eligibility for Transitional Kindergarten

In the 2024–25 school year, children who turn five between September 2 and June 2 are eligible for TK.

Must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024

Enrollment Calendar

 

Friday October 1, 2023 

Enrollment window opens on SchoolMint. Applications can be submitted for the lottery at any time during this window, just follow these steps:

 

• Step 1: Go to School SchoolMint and create an account. 

• Step 2: Select City Language Immersion Charter. You should receive confirmation from SchoolMint that your application was received. 

• Step 3: Check back in at any time to monitor the status of your application, or withdraw an application, and accept offers. 

• Note: If you are not able to access the application by computer or mobile device, you can also apply by phone by calling our school at 323-737-3013.

Monday, March 11, 2024 – Application Deadline

Applications must be submitted via SchoolMint by 11:59 pm on March 11 to be included in the 2024-25 lottery. Late applications are automatically added to the waitlist in the order they are submitted.

 

Friday, March 15, 2024 – Admission Lottery

If the number of students applying for admission exceeds openings available, enrollment is determined by a public random drawing. Students who applied by the deadline will be included in the lottery. Enrollment preference will be extended to students who are residents of LAUSD; whose home school is Arlington Heights Elementary; who have siblings of enrolled CLIC students; students eligible for free and reduced lunch; and are children of Board members, founders, teachers, and staff.

 

Admissions Notification 

Families of all accepted students will receive an automatic notification. You must confirm within two weeks that you intend to enroll your child to secure a spot.

 

If you submit an application after March 11, 2024 and there are no spaces available, your child’s name will be added to a waitlist. We will admit students from the waitlist after the lottery, as spots become available and in the order in which we received applications. 

 

March–September 2024: Students Admitted from the Waitlist

Students on the waitlist are notified automatically via the SchoolMint system when a space becomes available.

Admission to CLIC is open to any resident of the state of CA. The New Los Angeles Charter Schools network admits all pupils who wish to attend up to capacity. No test or assessment shall be administered to students prior to acceptance and enrollment into the school. There are no requirements for enrollment. CLIC does not charge students tuition and does not discriminate against any student on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender or disability. CLIC ensures that the unique needs of students with disabilities are met in order to give students with disabilities access to the same educational programs and/or activities that are available to their nondisabled peers. Applicants must be entering TK, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grade in August 2024.
