Small Group Tours at CLIC will take place the third Thursday of every month, at 10am until June 18th.
Open Houses and Small Group Tours will be offered in person and will take place at CLIC located at: 4001 Venice Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90019. Virtual session information is available below.

Apply at City Language Immersion Charter (CLIC)
All applications are submitted through SchoolMint online via https://newlosangelescharterschools.schoolmint.net. Prospective families can apply at any time during open enrollment. Open houses will provide additional information and support to apply.
Eligibility for Transitional Kindergarten
For the 2026-27 school year, the age requirement for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is that a child must turn 4 yrs. old by September 1, 2026.

For the 2026-27 School Year, the age requirement for Kindergarten is that students must turn 5 yrs. old by September 1, 2026.
How to Apply and Enrollment Calendar
Monday, September 1, 2026
The enrollment application window opens on SchoolMint. Applications can be submitted for the lottery at any time during the application window, just follow these steps:
- Step 1: Go to https://newlosangelescharterschools.schoolmint.net and create an account.
- Step 2: Select City Language Immersion Charter. You should receive confirmation from SchoolMint that your application was received.
- Step 3: Check back in at any time to monitor the status of your application, or withdraw an application, and accept offers.
Note: If you are not able to access the application by computer or mobile device, you can also apply by phone by calling our school at 323-737-3013.
Friday, January 16, 2026 – Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted via SchoolMint by 11:59 pm on January 16th to be included in the 2026-27 lottery. Late applications are automatically added to the waitlist in the order they are submitted.
Friday, January 23, 2026 – Admission Lottery
If the number of students applying for admission exceeds openings available, enrollment is determined by a public random drawing. Students who applied by the deadline will be included in the lottery. Enrollment preference will be extended to students who are residents of LAUSD; whose home school is Arlington Heights Elementary; who have siblings of enrolled CLIC students; students eligible for free and reduced lunch; and are children of Board members, founders, teachers, and staff.
Admissions Notification
Families of all accepted students will receive an automatic notification. You must confirm within two weeks that you intend to enroll your child to secure a spot.
If you submit an application after January 16, 2026 and there are no spaces available, your child’s name will be added to a waitlist. We will admit students from the waitlist after the lottery, as spots become available and in the order in which we received applications.
January–September 2026: Students Admitted from the Waitlist
Students on the waitlist are notified automatically via the SchoolMint system when a space becomes available.
Admission to CLIC is open to any resident of the state of CA. The New Los Angeles Charter Schools network admits all pupils who wish to attend up to capacity. No test or assessment shall be administered to students prior to acceptance and enrollment into the school. There are no requirements for enrollment. CLIC does not charge students tuition and does not discriminate against any student on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender or disability. CLIC ensures that the unique needs of students with disabilities are met in order to give students with disabilities access to the same educational programs and/or activities that are available to their nondisabled peers. Applicants must be entering TK, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grade in August 2026.

Cómo Aplicar y Calendario de Inscripción
Lunes, 1 de Septiembre
La ventana de inscripción se abre en SchoolMint. Las solicitudes se pueden enviar para la lotería en cualquier momento durante este período, solo siga estos pasos:
- Paso 1: Vaya a SchoolMint y cree una cuenta.
- Paso 2: Seleccione New Los Angeles Charter School. Debería recibir la confirmación de SchoolMint de que su solicitud fue recibida.
- Paso 3: Regrese en cualquier momento para monitorear el estado de su solicitud o retirar una solicitud y aceptar ofertas.

Los estudiantes que aplicaron antes de la fecha límite serán incluidos en la lotería. La preferencia de inscripción se extenderá a los estudiantes residentes en el LAUSD; a los estudiantes cuya escuela de origen sea Arlington Heights Elementary; a los hermanos de los alumnos matriculados en el CLIC; a los estudiantes con derecho a almuerzo gratuito o a precio reducido; y a los hijos de los miembros del Consejo de New LA, fundadores, maestros y personal.

La admisión a New LA está abierta a cualquier residente del estado de CA. New Los Angeles Charter School admite a todos los alumnos que deseen asistir a su capacidad máxima. No se administrará ningún examen o evaluación a los estudiantes antes de la aceptación e inscripción en la escuela. No hay requisitos para la inscripción.
