New LA Elementary
Dear New LA Families, Caregivers, and Community Members,
Welcome to New Los Angeles Charter Elementary School! It is my honor to lead this special learning community of bright, kind, and curious students, warm, dedicated, and highly skilled educators, and engaged, supportive caregivers.
New LA’s core values, articulated in our mission pillars of Respect for Self and Others, Engagement in the Community, and Passion for Learning, are embedded in everything we do. From growing our students’ social emotional skills, to our commitment to culturally affirming instructional practices, and our differentiated, hands-on and project-based academic program, New LA is dedicated to building creative and critical thinkers who can work together to learn, grow, and help their community.
Our program reflects our commitment to educating the whole child. In addition to our excellent core academics, our students receive weekly art, P.E., music, and coding classes. Our campus has abundant outdoor space with plenty of room for kids to play, build, make messy science experiments, and watch our garden grow. We support children’s mental and emotional well-being through our PBIS practices, mindfulness program, and on-site mental health counseling.
Every school year is a new opportunity to grow and learn, and I am always delighted by how much this school community has to teach me. Whether you are a prospective or current family, I look forward to connecting with you soon!
