Welcome to the new school year! We are so excited to partner with you to create wonderful experiences for our students. Whether you are helping out in the classroom, supporting school events, or chaperoning field trips, our volunteers make a world of difference every single day.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all our students, we have updated our streamlined volunteer and approval process. Here is everything you need to get started!
Volunteer Clearance Checklist
To become an approved volunteer, please ensure you have completed the following steps:
- Raptor Volunteer Application: Submit your application along with the following documents:
- TB Clearance: Provide proof of a clear TB Skin Test (or TB risk assessment clearance).
- Valid Photo ID
- Mandated Reporter Training: Complete the video training course and submit your Certificate of Completion (Note: This is a new requirement this year for all chaperone volunteers).
- Signed Volunteer Agreements from the Family Engagement and Volunteer Handbook.
Make sure to have all of the required documents ready when completing the Raptor Volunteer application.
Once all items are submitted, your application will be reviewed. When approved you will receive an email confirmation of approval from Raptor.
Requirement for Chaperones: If you would like to volunteer as a chaperone for field trips but already have an approved volunteer application on Raptor from the previous school year – you will need to reapply again and submit a new application with all requirements for an updated approval.
